The rules touched briefly on some of the features we offer for members via plugins. What is a plugin, anyway? Basically it's a member-made styling app that, when installed onto the forum, offers more user-friendly services and extra things you can do to personalize your experience here. For support or questions, please PM me.
- ALTERS - The Alters plugin allows me to make alias profiles for you to use when role playing. It lets you change your display name and avatar to your character name and picture. The display name also becomes clickable, bringing you to your character's profile. It is very easy to use and not too confusing once you see how it's done. I do all the work for you and you just do two clicks to make it work! When you have alters available to use, there will be a button next to "Create Thread" or "Create Post" and it's just called "Alters." You click it to bring up a list of your characters. Easy as that. If you would like to use alters, please make a request here.
- HASHTAGS - There is a very easy way to track every single post you make in-character. Actually, this hashtag code can be used for anything you want. Have you noticed how my in-character posts have a hashtag somewhere in it? If you click that link, it brings up every single post I've made using that tag. Try it now. [HASH]Zach. Isn't that neat? You can do the same, as well. Just use this code in any post you want in the list: [ # ]charactername - remove the spaces in between the two brackets
Make sure that you are always using the same name for one list. For instance, [HASH]Zach and [HASH]Zachary are going to be indexed separately. - CHARACTER TEMPLATES - Character templates/ tables are supported. Even better, when you go to edit your profile, under the settings tab is a section where you can have premade posts ready for use. You can have the templates made up, saved in your profile, and one click can bring up the coding to be used instantly. To use a template you've premade, click the dropdown box that will be next to the "Preview/ BBCode" tabs in the reply box. For an easy way to find templates, this forum has them available freely, you just have to register first.
- COLOR PALETTE - Very low-key plugin that just changes the color-wheel options in post replies. You can save previously used colors.
- TABBED TABLES - You can make tables in your posts that are much like the table we use at the top of our forum, with switchable tabs. For more info on his to do this, check here.
