Summer Skye The hot sun beating against her olive skin was nothing new, after being here for a few weeks you get used to anything even the hot sun. The temperate during the day could reach up to 110 degrees easily, which is hot to anyone but to someone who hasn't felt air conditioning in a few weeks it feels like death itself has come to visit your door. The hot humid air sticks to your skin in ways you didn't even know was possible. It lingered on every crack of you, running down the most uncomfortable spots, making your skin red and irritated with a heat and sweat rash. No matter how pretty you are, being in this hell hole made you a walking bag of red spots and ingrown hairs. Summer stretched out her body, trying to relive some of the sunburn pain she had been feeling. Her skin was so amazing before the crash. It was the perfect color, not too pale and not too dark. It was great for photo shoots and magazine covers. It was flawless of course, no blemishes in sight, very few and far between freckles, nothing that couldn't be photoshoped off. Now that she was here her skin was a wreck, her liter of water a day had completely gone out the door and the heat made every ounce of dirt come to the surface of the skin. She wasn't pretty anymore, or at least she didn;t feel beautiful. She felt like the beast in this story, hairy- trapped off from civilization. No one understanding, even with her medication she seemed to be like a train wreck. Thinking too much, being in her head too much Her mind started to drift back to her old life. Thinking about her parents and what they must being going through, it gave her such pleasure knowing that they could be suffering knowing how much they fucked her up. She wanted them to know they destroyed her with their hippy believing ways. They had ruined her, made her think life was a certain way even when it wasn't. They put her in a bubble, even camp was her being protected by over paid nannies who didn't know how to start a fire with a stick to save their lives. She signhed, laying back farther, hoping to drowned out the thoughts. |
