Flo likes to dress up in dresses, especially for Mass, but she can't really do that now that she is trapped on an island. She wears cool, comfortable clothing now.

History
Carina and Iago married when Carina was just sixteen years old. They figured there was no reason to wait to marry if they were in love. So, they married, but they didn’t start a family until Carina was 21. They had a little bit saved up in their savings, and they had their own house now. It wasn’t much, but it was something. So, when Carina was 21, Florencia was born. Iago and Carina were extremely delighted that their first child was a girl. They had both wanted a girl. They both spoiled their little girl with everything they could. Mostly, they spoiled her with their love and affection since neither of them had a ton of money, and they needed to eat.
On Sunday’s they would go to Mass, and then they would head over to Carina’s mother’s home for Sunday dinner. It was always a big thing for the Mares family. When Flo was six, her mom popped out Dayana. Not much changed, really. Flo would offer to help out with the baby, taking a knack for children at the age of six. Three years later, Emelda was born. Now things started to change. Flo took on more of a mothering role to the children while her parents worked long, long hours trying to provide for the family of five. Things got even crazier when Haide was born a year later. Flo would often pick the younger children up from their grandmother’s house and then go home to take care of them there.
When Flo was thirteen, her last sister, Xexilia, was born. Flo still took care of the kids when she had to, which was most of the time, but she tried to focus on her schooling. She loved her parents, but she felt that if she had more of an education, she wouldn’t end up in their place when she was older. At the age of fifteen, Flo’s grandfather passed away. Since they were a tight family, it hit everyone hard. But things changed as well. Linda, her grandmother, moved in with the family so that she wouldn’t have to live alone. Linda told Flo to go out and live her life, and that she would take care of the kids.
That’s when Flo’s life finally started taking off. She would often go walk around town when school was out, looking at all of the architecture. She would often go to parks, taking her tablets and drawing whatever she could find. She loved drawing little kids playing around on the swings and animals. One night she was walking home when a few guys started catcalling her. They were asking where her boyfriend was, or where she was headed. She was seventeen at this time, and though it wasn’t a high crime rated city, it was still sketchy after dark. She tried to ignore them, keeping her head down. She thought maybe if she didn’t give a reaction, they would leave her alone. That’s when she met Luis. Luis was standing on a street corner when he saw what was happening. He walked over, asking if they were bothering her. The guys tried to play it off as if she was just being shy, but the look on Flo’s face told Luis differently.
Luis ran the boys off, and he went back to see how Flo was doing. You would think that Flo would send him away with how those men were treating her, but she loved romance, and she loved the fact that he was her prince charming coming to her rescue. Plus, he had a nice smile. So, she took his offer up on him walking her home. They had a good conversation on the way home, and Flo thought was going to be the end of their relationship. She had never seen him before, but fate had another plan for them.
On her way home from school the next day, she saw Luis standing beside her fence. A smile came to his face as he saw her walk over, and she hurried herself over. He told her that he couldn’t stop thinking about their conversation last night, and that he wanted to see her again. She told him to give her a few minutes before they could hang out. And a few minutes later, after dropping things off in her house, they were off. They walked around town, talking, and she didn’t come home for a few hours. They kept going on spontaneous dates like that, and then one day, he wanted her to meet his parents. She was nervous, of course, but when she saw where he lived, she was even more nervous. He lived in a huge house, and it even had a gate around it with security. Flo had never been into a house like that before. She had lived in a three bedroom house her entire life, and with four siblings, two parents, and a grandmother all living there, there wasn’t much room for much else. They lived in poverty, and she was okay with that.
But his family was so accepting of her and him. They actually really enjoyed having her there, and Flo liked being there. Flo was nervous for him to meet her family, but her family was smitten with him as soon as they met him. Two years later, when Flo was 19, they were married. They moved into a decent sized house together, and Flo went to work as a nanny for a rich couple. Luis went to work for his father at the family business, which was making wine, or so he told Flo. Though they were always busy, they made time for dates. Flo was getting ready for their date when she saw a frazzled looking. When she asked him what was wrong, she realized there was blood all over his shirt and hands. Flo was obviously worried about his safety, but he assured her that it wasn’t his blood and that everything was okay.
Flo was a little uneasy, a lot uneasy, but she figured that he would end up telling her what happened in the end. For all she knew, he stopped to save someone’s life who had just been struck by a car because that’s the type of guy she married. He took her over to the couch after that, and he sat her down and told her that it was just an explosion in the wine factory. So, Flo took it. She wanted to believe him, so she did. She had no reason to believe that he was a killer. But after that night, things got weirder. She would often wake up hearing angered yelling from downstairs. When she went down there, all she saw Luis on his phone.
He started getting angry quickly and the phone calls kept coming. Still, Flo kept ignoring it. He would let her know if something was wrong. Plus, she trusted him completely. When she turned twenty-five, she found out she was pregnant. She had gone home early in order to plan a special dinner for Luis in order to tell him the good news. Sadly, that’s not what happened that day. She walked in on Luis questioning someone. That questioning was a man’s wife being smacked around while the man was forced to watch. Flo let out a scream, and she went over to the woman, screaming at the henchmen to back off. They looked at Luis, and he nodded. He didn’t want her to get hurt. He didn’t want her to be a part of this life. Flo took the woman upstairs, cleaning her up, apologizing profusely for her husband’s actions. She took the woman and her husband to their house, and then she went back home to talk to Luis. He was sitting on the couch, looking upset. When Flo walked in, he jumped up and went to her, but she turned him away.
She told them that she was leaving him. She told him that she didn’t sign up for this life, and that she married a kind, caring man who would never have done that. So, she sneaked into the United States, starting herself a new life. It was hard, of course. She worked odd jobs here and there to support herself and her growing belly. But she missed Luis, and she agreed to go back to Chile and talk to him, but things took a turn for the worst on the plane...

After the Crash
Friends: She's been on her own. | Enemies: Maybe a few animals she's pissed off, but no. |
When the plane went down, Flo had been knocked unconscious. Her entire row had landed in a tree, and the two people sitting next to her on the plane had perished in the crash. She couldn't just sit there and do nothing while she rotted away. She had to fight to get free. She called for help a bunch of times, but she figured that if no one had heard her by now, she had been the only survivor. She struggled with the seat belt for about a day and a half before it finally buckled, and she had fallen onto a tree branch. She climbed herself down, and she went to find shelter for herself. She's been forging for food for herself ever since, wondering what she was going to do with herself. There seemed to be no one else on the island, though she heard random noises here and there. She just assumed they were animals. She made her shelter portable so that she could search for any other survivors during the day, and then set up camp at night. She's been lost for six weeks now, and she's giving up hope that there were other survivors.
