IT IS THE BEGINNING. Dear Diary,
The plane crash has left many of us in disarray. There are some who wander around like zombies, just without life. I also saw a man die earlier. His arm had been shredded during the crash.
It is human nature to want to survive, though. For the most part, it seems we are all making the best of our situation and banding together as one unit. I know I want to try contributing to the food search later this afternoon. There's still sparks of hope in all our eyes that we are going to be rescued soon.
Not everyone has the same opinions, though. There are fights breaking out. The children are terrified. The elders keep silent; they can't possibly hope to go on without the young helping them along. Some people think we should stay by the shore. Others are arguing that we need better shelter. Zachary Bartholomew is one of them. He's trying to take leadership, like some of the others, and he thinks we should live in the caves. Not everyone likes any of these ideas.
It is scary. What will happen if the group becomes divided?
I know I want to live. But, picking sides could be dangerous. POINTS OF INTEREST: - There is tension between some characters
- Some want to lead the group but have differing opinions
- The group wants food and shelter

PLOT EVENT #1 The storm is coming.
The survivors have lived here for a week now. Some of them still clinging to the hope that search parties are looking for them. They're going to be rescued.
Except, nobody has come for them. And now they never will.
A hurricane is approaching them, fast. The rain has started. Soon it will turn into torrential downpours, and winds so fierce, it may even blow them away. The group is going to have to find shelter, and fast, or they'll surely all die.
The hurricane may only last a day, but its destruction will be massive. Many of the fruits and coconuts will be torn away. Those makeshift shelters you made for yourselves? Forget about it. They're done for. If you hated fishing before the crash, you'd better learn to like it.
The caves are your only hope for survival. Of course, if you get too curious, the caves can be deadly too. There's no telling how deep they go.
After the storm passes, what will everyone do? Stay in the caves, or be out in the open in case the search party will still be looking? Surely after some time spent in the caves, friendships - and divisions - will have formed.
- You will be required to make, or respond to, at least one thread in the caves.
- You can still have active threads elsewhere.
- The hurricane will only last one day IC, with some raining the day before.

PLOT EVENT #2 We are stranded - and sick. The hurricane is old news. It's been about a month now since the plane went down, and we wake up almost feeling like we are home. Raion's innovative idea of how to catch monkeys worked! Now we have an even better food supply and we feel ourselves growing stronger, healthier with meat in our bellies. Well, we don't know for sure, but the monkeys may have been infected. A sickness is spreading across the island. It starts with headaches, nausea, dizziness. After a few hours, the fever sets in, and the agony begins. The sick begin to sweat and drift in and out of hallucinations. They can't keep down food or water in the early stages. It seems to spread so easily. The ones that haven't fallen ill yet are terrified, and I'm pretty sure some have abandoned us to fend for themselves. There's only a few healthy ones left, and we are trying to do everything; find food, fetch fresh water from the lagoon, and keep the sick alive... If they're even going to make it. If we panic, we could lose everyone. I hope that doesn't happen. - This plot event will begin around Nov 11th. Start thinking about which of your characters will fall ill, which will stay healthy and help, and if any are going to disappear out of fear and selfishness. Just don't expect forgiveness...
- Try to keep your healthy/ sick ratios generally even. If you have three characters, you may have 1 healthy/ 2 sick, or 2 healthy/ 1 sick.
- Stay tuned. More info may/ will be added before the plot kicks off!
