NIX NIGHT Shadow of the Night
Nix knew she had not met a lot of people from the plane, heck, she could count how many she knew on one hand and that was a odd thing even for her who disliked and didnt know a lot of people even before all this happened! And yet it seemed the storm that had passed had made a dent on the population, no one knew quite how bad because no one had known how many had lived from the crash and then been swept away or plucked from the shore by the wind so it was all very up in the air.
"Very amusing" she said as she moved through the trees, laughing softly at her own bad joke. Her eyes moved over the ground and she bent over as she noted another stick and picked it up with one hand while the other pulled on a few she had tucked under her other free hand, the one thing a storm did do was bring down firewood for weeks. She had now grown quite a bundle under her arm, the plan being to use the little bit of palm fiber she had managed to wind as a rope to carry the bundle back to her little hidden cave home once she felt she had enough wood for a couple of days.

long enough for @nixnight notes: Hey Nix! I'm excited to write with you - I promise to keep it going this time Choose to Chance the Rapids And Dare to Dance the Tides
Hadley need a break - time away from the bustle of every day life trying to survive after a plane crash, avoiding starvation while making sure everyone else had enough to eat, trying not to make connections because the person you fell asleep next to might very well be dead the next morning. She just... well, she needed a break and the jungle seemed the perfect place to take one.
She had wandered into the dense tree line several hours ago, the ground still damp and squishy under her light body. She didn't imagine it would ever dry out, not with how humid this place always was. She took a moment to remind herself that she should be thankful. At least they hadn't nose dived into a desert; now that would be miserable.
Her blonde hair clung to the exposed skin of her shoulders, long ago had she given up on keeping a shirt on. It wasn't possible for her. The damp fabric sticking to her skin had cased a rash to form on her stomach and shortly after she ditched the shirt. A slight rash was still visible on her pale skin, but it didn't itch anymore so Hadley figured it was healing well enough.
She had managed to weasel herself into a tree. It wasn't very tall, the branch she was now sat on was maybe 13 feet into the air, her back pressed against the mossy trunk while her feet dangled. It was peaceful, despite the desperate called of the monkeys and the constant echo of birds. At least you couldn't hear the people who had inhabited the beach, nor could you see the caves which she had sworn off.
Hadley closed her eyes for a brief moment, and as though on cue she could hear another person's voice. A female. One that seemed familiar, but not that she knew personally. Not that she knew anybody personally. See "don't make relationships with people who might be dead in the morning." Her eyes peaked open as she registered what the other had said.
Was she talking about Hadley? very amusing? Hadley couldn't quite figure out what it was that was amusing about her being in a tree. Her eyes continued to watch the young female as she gathered sticks under her arm, smiling to herself. Hadley cleared her throat gently I beg your pardon? [/quote]

NIX NIGHT Shadow of the Night
Nix bent over and picked up another stick from the ground, a little bit of root from the floor of the forest tried to come up with it so she flicked her wrist and sent it fluttering gently down to the ground as she stood up and slid the stick in to place under her arm. She watched the root drop before she sighed to herself and looked up, the sky seemed brighter than before. Maybe she hadnt looked up in so long she just hadnt noticed or maybe she had just walked out form under tree cover, she wasnt sure.
she thought to herself on this for a few seconds before a voice made her eyes narrow and her head turn. She looked around and tried to place the voices owner but the comment had been so short and she hadnt been quite with it so she had missed her chance to be able to spot the figured. "Dark humor seems most amusing considering we might all be dead tomorrow" she admitted to the sky, a small grin appearing on her face. "I need to eat" she muttered softly, certain her good mood was in fact a lack of water or sugar or something important. People didnt have good moods when there were others dying around them, or if they did, they shouldnt!
