Gwendelyn Mae Fitch
Basics
Age: 25 | Gender: Female |
Orientation: Curious | Status: Married, Open Relationship |
Hometown: Tybee Island, Georgia | Faceclaim: Bryce Dallas Howard |
Appearance
Gwen is a carefree spirited woman, and this shows on her face. She is usually found glowing with bright smiles and small wrinkles around her eyes as she grins. She has a very simple face with large green eyes and a button nose. Her face is very much a heart shape, and she stands relatively tall at 5'6". She is slim natured, with wild red hair that she typically curled before, but now it lays rather beach-wavy on her mid-back. Her lips are full and soft, sometimes mistaken for pouting. Freckles splatter her face and her body, especially now that she is in the sun more. She has a very kind and easy-going disposition that is translated into her relaxed demeanor and body language.
Personality
Gwen is a very kind soul, and very fragile. She takes most things personally, and oftentimes will follow her heart rather than reason. She is a hopeless romantic, and always believes the best in people. Many times she can be seen as overbearing, but she likes to call it motherly. All she had ever wanted in this life was a yard-full of children, and still to this day is very adamant about trying for them. She has an unbelievable amount of patience and understanding for others, but with the exception of herself. She is so very hard on herself and can be found in a puddle of tears at her own failures.
History
Gwen grew up in a very loving home in Georgia. The value of family and being kind was instilled into her at a very young age, and she carries that with her to this day. Her mother and father are her heroes, and she idolizes their marriage and love for one another. Growing up, she was a very caring child, and was even very motherly to her baby cousins. Her mother had problems getting pregnant again, so Gwen was the only child to them. That did not stop her from growing up as if she had a whole family to take care of. Whether it was stray animals on the street, or little Robbie from next door, Gwen always had a project of taking care of something.
Gwen went through school like the typical teenage girl, fighting to get good grades and then taking it to the mats for cheer practice after the day ended. She had a way with people that made them flock to her, so she never faced loneliness in her early years. After high school ended, her mother had a minor heart-attack, resulting in Gwen coming back from college where she was studying early-childhood education to take care of her mother and the bed and breakfast that her parents owned and lived in. Their ranch style home was known as the best B&B in Georgia (or at least that's what the locals like to tell her parents). So, when her mother fell ill, Gwen came back home to be the cook for the bed and breakfast and her mother's personal nurse.
It was that spring that she met Vinny. Vinny was this hotshot hotel critique from somewhere out in California, and she had fallen madly into deep love with him. He had came to the bed and breakfast to give it a review, and Gwen had made him breakfast every morning of his stay and then dinner every night that he had decided to actually stay in (which was rare because it was that very first night of his stay that he had asked her to go to dinner with him). They had what her father described as a "tornado romance" where it popped out of no where and completely destroyed what she knew of love. They were crazy for one another, and after three week in Georgia trying out different hotels and B&Bs, Vinny asked her to run away with him. That night the two of them shared laughs and kisses that lit her heart ablaze. It was that next morning that Gwen hopped into Vinny's car where they drove down to the courthouse and signed their marriage license.
Gwen eventually went back to school after her mother felt well again. She graduated quickly after, only this time a small simple diamond adorned her ring finger. She was now a teacher, and man, did she love it. She settled down with Vinny in his home state of California, but settling down was a loose term for the two of them. He was constantly on the move with his job, and Gwen couldn't be away from him for more than a week without losing her mind. Even after three years, she was still madly and deeply in love with him.
Their marriage was not all sunshine and rainbows though. Gwen wanted nothing more than to be the mother of many, many children. Her and Vinny would try time and time again, much to no success. Their marriage got tough, because Gwen started to lose focus of what was important. She had stopped eating like she should, and her usually cheerful green eyes became clouded. Her attention had begun to falter as she continually thought of how she would be able to conceive. She and Vinny went to every doctor they could, throwing away hundreds of dollars away on IVF and vitamins and therapy and everything that could be done so that the two of them could have a baby. Nothing was working. Doctors said that it was equally their faults, bad swimmers on Vinny's end and fragile, infertile eggs on her end. Gwen walked around like a ghost after the last doctor they had went to said that she would never be able to have children.
She was not ready to give up just yet. Vinny, in an attempt to cheer her up, had set up a trip to Chile for him to rate another hotel. And, he was bringing Gwen with him. Once he had told her where they were going, she gave him a small smile as encouragement. She hated seeing him so hurt whenever she didn't react positively. Their marriage had been so forced and weak for the last two years as they fought to have children. But, she had given him this one smile and a kiss on the cheek. "That will be a nice vacation dear," she had told him as she floated away from the dinner table, her food untouched.
As she began to research Chile, she found a very special doctor. She had been out of options at this point, but she thought she had found an answer. One of the mountains had a famous witch-doctor which on many accounts had preformed miracles. She began to obsessively research this witch-doctor, and once she had found out that there was an account of this doctor impregnating the most un-impregnable woman, she had decided that this trip to Chile would be the best trip they would ever take. For the next months coming before the trip, Gwen was a new woman. She was back to her old, happy-go-lucky self, excited for the world and everything it had to offer her---like having a child.
